Halloween Succulent Cage

Not sure about you, but Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! I’m always looking to incorporate more plants into my seasonal decor. When I saw this super cute bat cage at Target, I immediately knew what I was going to make.

Target 5 dollar section

Supplies needed:

  • sphagnum moss

  • 2-3 2” succulents plus clippings from a trailing succulent

  • hot glue gun & glue

  • 1 $5 bat cage from the Target 5 dollar section

Arrange sphagnum moss on the bottom of the cage until almost the entire bottom is covered. Next, pull the soil off of the bottom of your succulents, rinsing them off if need be. Glue them down to the bottom of the cage (moving the moss) and arrange them where you want.

Next, place your string of dolphins around the other succulents so that they look like they are growing from the mound of plants.

Place the top back on the cage and you’re done!

Below is a short video that shows you how!
